If you\u2019re a Foresters Financial member, that time is now!<\/p>\n<p>This is your chance to use your leadership skills by becoming a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foresters.com\/member-benefits\/member-governance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Branch Councillor<\/a> and helping foster real change at Foresters and in your community. Branch Councillors \u2013 also called member leaders \u2013 can rally around important causes, get a say in how our member benefits grow, and help elect our Board of Directors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s in it for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>You\u2019ll gain skills that stick with you<\/strong>. Every part of the leadership experience helps build skills that you can use in your personal and professional life, like time management and critical thinking. Plus, you can tap into specialised learning and development programmes about leadership, communication, teamwork, volunteerism and innovation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You\u2019ll travel and learn from experts<\/strong>. Get invited to exclusive conferences to learn from leadership experts, attend unique training workshops and network with other member leaders.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You\u2019ll enjoy rewarding volunteer experiences<\/strong>. Foresters is all about giving back, and you\u2019ll have the chance to volunteer with leading charities across Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. Go above and beyond with specialised funds to help create community activities and give back to more people and charities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What would my responsibilities be?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once elected, all you have to do is commit to supporting Foresters Purpose through involvement in your local community and collaborating with like-minded member leaders at monthly virtual meetings. If you\u2019re passionate about helping people, being a Branch Councillor will be right up your alley!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do I need any special skills?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All you need is the enthusiasm to do more for yourself and your community. That\u2019s it! No matter your professional background, you can apply to become a Branch Councillor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How do I nominate myself?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Head over to our <a href=\"https:\/\/my.foresters.com\/en-gb\/leadership\/nominations-and-voting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leadership page<\/a> to find out more about the role and to put yourself forward. Branch Councillor nominations run from <strong>14<\/strong> <strong>May 2025 <\/strong>to <strong>25 June 2025<\/strong> so get your name in now!
