Every year at Foresters Financial, we strive to help young leaders committed to their academics and communities with support for their education. The Foresters Competitive Scholarship gives inspiring students up to £1,000 to help cover their tuition and make their education more affordable. It’s a helpful benefit that can go a long way for deserving students, and we hope more decide to take the leap!
We reached out to a couple of our 2024 Competitive Scholarship winners to hear what advice they’d give to students applying this year. Here’s what they had to say:
“The best investment in your future starts by listing all your volunteer accomplishments on the Foresters Competitive Scholarship application.”
–Ivan Martinez
“Your scholarship application is more than just a form to fill out; it’s a moment to celebrate your journey and take pride in the impact you’ve made! Think of it as a chance to step back and reflect on the challenges you’ve faced, the leadership you’ve shown and the positive difference you’ve created in the lives of others. Whether it’s a small gesture that brightened someone’s day or a larger role where you led a group or initiative, these experiences are part of what makes your story uniquely yours.
Embrace this opportunity to put words to the resilience, compassion and dedication you’ve shown, and let yourself feel proud of all you’ve accomplished. This is about honoring who you are and sharing your journey with people who believe in your future!”

How Foresters grants can help applicants
Got a student in mind who could benefit from a Foresters Competitive Scholarship? That’s great! But do they need some help getting those required hours? Our Community Volunteer grants may be able to help.
A Community Volunteer grant offers up to £1,500 in funds to help organise or attend meaningful volunteer activities in local communities. Students can tag along and participate in any Community Volunteer activity to help get the hours they need to qualify for a scholarship. Foresters grants and scholarships are the perfect pair!
