Sometimes great opportunities fall right into your lap. If you’re a Foresters Financial member, that time is now!
Members are at the heart of everything we do at Foresters – including having a say in how we operate and who we elect as our leaders.
Do you know that members can also choose to become our leaders too?
If you’re a member who wants to use your life experiences to influence change at Foresters and in your community as a Branch Councillor, this is your opportunity!
What’s in it for me?
- You’ll gain skills that stick with you. Every part of the leadership experience helps build skills that you can use in your personal and professional life, like time management and critical thinking. Plus, you can tap into specialized learning and development programmes through Foresters Academy – a curated library of courses about leadership, communication, teamwork, volunteerism and innovation.
- You’ll travel and learn from experts. Invitations to an exclusive conference to give our member leaders a chance to learn from leadership experts, attend unique training workshops and network with other member leaders.
- You’ll enjoy rewarding volunteer experiences. Foresters is all about giving back, and you’ll have the chance to volunteer with leading charities across the United Kingdom and North America. But if you want to go above and beyond, you can also access a set of specialized funds to help put on community activities and give back to more people and charities.
What would my responsibilities be?
It might sound too good to be true, but once elected all you have to do is commit to supporting Foresters Purpose through activity involvement in your local community and collaborating with like-minded member leaders once a month. If you’re someone with a passion for people, being a Branch Councillor will be right up your alley!
Do I need any special skills?
Nope! All you need is the passion to do more for yourself and your community. That’s it! No matter what your professional background is, you can apply to become a Branch Councillor.
Want to hear more about how YOU can make an impact at Foresters? Watch our International Fraternal President, Richard Hennick, and Regional Councillors, Rodney and Kay, talk about their experience as Branch Councillors and how the role has helped them both personally and professionally!
