Every year, Foresters Financial™ selects up to 375 post-secondary students to award tuition scholarships. Students from Canada and the US can receive up to $2,500, while students in the UK can get up to £1,000. These bright young leaders all demonstrated exceptional leadership through community service and a commitment to academics.

And we couldn’t be more proud of the difference they’re going to continue making in our communities and around the world!

They come from three different countries and are studying everything from engineering and pre-law to environmental science, pre-med and criminal justice. And while their educational pursuits are impressive, what’s even more incredible is their commitment to giving back.

Our winners make a difference!

Sualys Gonzalez-Rodriquez volunteers with The Medica Zone, an organization that helps its members develop their knowledge and interest in the medical field. Sualys volunteers for the translation department, where she translates medical research documents from English to Spanish so that more people interested in medicine can take advantage of everything the organization offers.

Annabelle Rayson is the Chair of the Sarnia Shoebox Project, a charity that provides holiday gifts to women impacted by homelessness and domestic abuse. She started the charity while she was still in elementary school after learning that her community didn’t have any holiday charities that supported women.

Ivan Martinez has spent 178 of his volunteer hours volunteering with Foresters Financial, including preparing meal boxes for families accessing the Houston Food Bank, preparing hygiene kits and lunch bags for the Star of Hope shelter, participating in collecting trash and beautifying community parks and streets during the Earth Week Clean Up Challenge and cleaning tombstones and placing American flags over the headstones of fallen soldiers during Memorial Day weekend.

Adam Omarali and his family have volunteered with Foresters for years, and he has used Foresters Community Grants Community grants | Foresters Financial to benefit the New Circles Community Services program in Toronto. His efforts have resulted in the purchase and distribution of hundreds of school backpacks, hygiene kits and winter clothing to those in need.
